A Company of Gannets
Gannet Morus bassanus , A large Sea bird that lives in colonies along steep cliff ledges and slopes of the coast line.
A very proficient flyer that glides with ease
At first sight can look very ferocious , especially in their over crowded nesting colonies with plenty of squabbling and
pecking going on . Take a closer look and theres a softer side to these very charismatic birds of companionship
and understanding.
The pictures are taken in the UK from Bempton Cliffs , Yorkshire ; Hermaness , Unst and the Isle of Noss, Shetland Islands.

Fulmar's Fulmarus glacialis
A Circus of Puffins
Puffin Fratercula arctica .
Could well be a favourite of many , the Puffin also known as the clown of the sea or in the Northern parts of the UK as a
Tammie Norie .
It's an accommodating wee bird that when you see one they always seem to lift your spirit and brighten up a dull day .
Unfortunately this beautiful and friendly bird does not seem to
be fairing well at the moment , wether due to climate change
or over fishing , though some do say that a few places around the UK are seeing a stable colony . Lets Hope so !
The photos are taken at Skoma Island, Pembrokeshire , Wales:
Lunga , Treshnish Isles , Scotland : Hermaness and Sumburgh Head , Shetland Islands
Farne Islands , Northumberland and Bempton Cliffs, Yorkshire.

The Parliament of Owls
Little Owl Athene noctua
this character I've got to know over 18 months
and regularly is on this post by the side of a
quiet country road I use and will generally let me
pull up and take a photo from my vehicle window
